Terms.

These terms cover your use of Samajha, the AI tutoring service at samajha.com and app.samajha.com, operated by Brittle Hollow Labs Private Limited, a company incorporated in India and based in Mumbai, Maharashtra (“Samajha,” “we,” “us”). They're written in plain English on purpose. The legal stuff is still legal.

1. The deal.

We give you an AI tutor that talks to your child, remembers them, and updates you weekly. Every plan covers all subjects on your board. The first 5 classes are free and we don't ask for a card. After that, Basic is ₹3,499 a month for 5 classes a week and Advanced is ₹5,999 a month for 10 classes a week.

2. Who can sign up.

The account holder must be 18+ and the parent or legal guardian of the student. By signing up you confirm both.

3. Billing.

• Free — 5 classes in total, no card taken. When they're used up you either pick a plan or stop. Nothing is charged automatically.
• Basic — ₹3,499 per month per student, 5 classes a week.
• Advanced — ₹5,999 per month per student, 10 classes a week.
• All prices are in Indian rupees and include any applicable taxes.
• Billed on the same date each month against a UPI AutoPay mandate, card or net-banking standing instruction you set up at signup. You get a notification 24 hours before each debit.
• You can cancel the mandate at any time — from your account page, or directly in your UPI app. Cancelling the mandate cancels the subscription.
• Switch plans whenever you like. An upgrade starts immediately and is charged pro-rata; a downgrade starts at your next billing date.
• No EMIs, no Bajaj Finance, no 3-year contracts. Cancel any time.
• If a payment fails, the tutor pauses after 3 days. Your data isn't deleted.

4. Refunds.

After 10 days, that month isn't refunded — but you can still cancel and you won't be billed again.

Refunds are initiated within 3 working days of your email and normally reach the original payment method within 5–7 working days after that.

5. Fair use.

The tutor is for one student per account. You're welcome to let siblings share if they're studying together — but if we see two distinct students using one account regularly, we'll ask you to add a second seat.

6. What you can't do.

• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the tutor's responses.
• Use Samajha to generate content for sale (it's for learning, not for ghostwriting essays for a fee).
• Try to make the tutor produce harmful, illegal, or sexually explicit content. There are guardrails. Please don't test them.

7. Your content.

What your child says to the tutor stays yours. We get a licence to store it and use it to make the tutor work for you — nothing else. We don't train our public models on your private sessions.

8. Our content.

The tutor, the website, the app, our weekly updates — all that is ours (or our licensors'). Personal, non-commercial use within Samajha is fine. Anything else, ask.

9. Accuracy.

The tutor is good but not perfect. It will occasionally be wrong, especially on edge-case board-paper trivia. We test heavily against board syllabi but we don't guarantee marks. If something is wrong, tell us — we fix it.

10. Availability.

We aim for 99% uptime. Voice models are operated by third parties and can occasionally hiccup. If Samajha is down for a meaningful stretch in a billing month, we credit your next bill — write to us.

11. Liability.

Samajha is a tutoring service. It does not replace school, doctors, counsellors, or your judgement as a parent. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at what you've paid us in that period.

12. Ending the relationship.

You can cancel any time from the account page or by emailing us. We can suspend an account if it's being used to harm others or to violate these terms — we'll explain why and give you a chance to fix it where reasonable.

13. Law.

Indian law applies. Disputes go to the courts of Mumbai.

14. Changes.

We may update these terms. We'll email you at least 14 days before anything material changes.
